axolotl
A public PvP server: a lobby and 1v1 duels. Java Edition, any version from 1.8 up.
Server address
axolotlsmp.expro.to
No port to type โ we are on the default, 25565.
Joining
- Start Minecraft: Java Edition and click Multiplayer.
- Click Add Server.
- Name it anything. Paste the address above into Server Address.
- Click Done, then double-click axolotl in the list.
A green connection bar means you are good to go. Do this once; the server stays in your list.
Once you are in
You land in the lobby: a quartz disc over the void, facing a row of statues,
one per mode. Each wears the kit and the skin of somebody playing that mode
right now, with the live count over its head. Click one โ or type
/play netherite โ to queue.
The modes are 1v1 duels, one per kit: netherite, diamond and gapple. You get paired, land on a platform over the void, and fight after a frozen 3-2-1. Last one standing wins and you both go back to the lobby โ no death screen, nothing dropped.
Playing on an older version
You do not have to update. Whatever you already play on, from 1.8 upward, can join โ the server translates.
- Official launcher: Installations โ New installation โ pick the version โ Create, then play that installation and join the same address.
- Prism Launcher or MultiMC: make an instance on the version you want and launch it.
- Lunar or Badlion: choose the version in the launcher before you hit play.
Worth knowing
- You need a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. The server checks with Mojang, so cracked clients cannot get in.
- Bedrock Edition โ console, phone, the Windows Store version โ cannot join a Java server, whatever address you give it.
- Combat is the modern kind for everyone. Joining on 1.8 gets you the old look, not the old mechanics: attack cooldown still applies.
- Chat is unsigned here, which is what lets older clients in. In-game chat reporting is therefore off.
If it will not connect
- Outdated client or outdated server: you are below 1.8. Anything 1.8 or newer works.
- Connection timed out: check the address for typos โ no
http://, no port. - Still stuck? The server may be restarting. Give it a minute and retry.
